Chanracy Khun beat each opponent at the live six-player final table in the €3,500 free-bet Texas Hold'em tournament bought at bwin's 2013 World Tour of Poker in Barcelona.
The victory earned the Canadian €200,000 ($258,448) and 612 Player of the Year Player Points, which tied him for 120th Player of the Year with the other two.
A total of 249 players entered the main event in Barcelona, bringing the total prize pool to $1,029,661. The final heads-up unfolded between Khun and Benjamin Pollak from France. Pollak goes all, Khun calls a pair of 8s, and after opening the cards, Khun wins all the chips.
Pollak holds block K7, and the flop block A square 9 of spades gives him a good chance of winning at one point. But the switch of J of Spades only left him one chance to get the block card, but River's Plum 7 allowed the prize pool and title to end up in Khun's hands. Pollack won $162,882, his third time at the WPT final table.
