Michael Phelps is the most successful athlete in Olympic history. Now, he's trying to add another Texas Hold'em title to his stellar achievement list.

Phelps yesterday competed in the $10,000 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure Main Event to test his Texas Hold'em skills with the best Texas Hold'em players in the world.

Since announcing his retirement at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Phelps has been seen playing Texas Hold'em in Las Vegas and London. He is said to have won $100,000 in a high-roller cash game in Sin City. However, the 18-time Games gold medalist has yet to win a poker tournament. In his tournament resume, there is currently only one small cash result. Now, Phelps wants to make a big move in the Bahamas.

He passed the Round 1 test and advanced with 92,000 chips. This was made possible by the fact that he snatched a large pot from Dylan Hortin.

After the flop hits the dark three, Phelps gets paid by Hortin, who holds the pocket K.

Phelps sat at a number of tables, including Melanie Weisner. His table is frequently visited by poker masters such as Antonio Esfandiari and Matt Wakeman.
